Growing up with undiagnosed AuDHD in a traditional Mexican immigrant household meant I was trying to fit into what I didn’t understand. Because I didn’t understand I didn’t take care to fit unless forced to. I grew up mimicking my favorite animated characters and mirroring people I liked in order to be loved as I loved. It wasn’t miserable like one would think. I was performing, it’s how I learned to understand others. My work is inspired by my experiences, music and novelties I find in my everyday life.
I make 2D art with heavy reliance on colors and aesthetics that please me. There is a hedonistic quality to my process, following intuition over preconception. My work is deeply personal and vulnerable in ways I still struggle to understand. I am still learning where I fit.
Purdue University graduate in Studio Arts & Technology, trained extensively in several mediums art & related skills. Digital Imaging, Graphic Design & Screen printing among others, are mediums I am most familiar with.
